Why I made Rooted in Grace Free

February 14, 20263 min read

I get asked a version of this question often. Sometimes it’s direct, other times it’s a gentle curiosity. Why pour months of writing, prayer, and design into a beautiful eBook, only to give it away for free?

The answer is simple, but it’s not short. It’s a story that begins in the soil of my childhood.

I am a woman formed by the ground, not by theory. I grew up in Romania, where I watched my parents work the earth with a quiet endurance. For us, the garden wasn’t an aesthetic or a hobby—it was provision. It was a place of rhythm, of limits, of waiting. It carried both gratitude and ache.

When life moved me into new places—new countries, new roles, new pressures of ministry and family—I found myself returning to that soil memory. The garden became my sanctuary. Not a curated, perfect escape, but a living place that refused to be rushed. It was there, with dirt under my nails and the sun on my back, that I learned a theology that no book could teach me.

I learned that God cannot be contained in abstractions. He meets us in timing, in seasons, in the ordinary, embodied obedience of showing up.

And I realized something was deeply wrong with the way we were approaching faith.

We, especially women, are told to do more, be more, study more. We are handed another Bible study, another productivity system, another five-step plan to a better spiritual life. We are drowning in information, but we are starving for formation.

We are spiritually scattered, overwhelmed, and exhausted by the pressure to be limitless.

I know because I was there. I was uprooted.

Rooted in Grace is the book I wrote because I needed it. It’s my invitation back to the ground, so we can find our way back to God.

It’s not another thing to do. It is a space to be. It’s a gentle guide to help you:

  • Slow down and hear your own breath again.

  • See God’s hand in the simple rhythms of your home and garden.

  • Replace the need for control with a quiet trust.

  • Build a sustainable, embodied faith that actually nourishes you, right where you are.

So, why is it free?

Because a rescue shouldn’t come with a price tag.

This isn’t a marketing tactic. It is a mission. It’s a lifeline for the woman who feels like she is drowning. It’s a first step for the one who doesn’t know where to begin. It’s a gift, freely given, because the grace it points to is also freely given.

My heart is to shepherd, not to sell. I want the weary to breathe again. I want the anxious to find their quiet center. I want the scattered to return to themselves and to God.

This eBook is the front door. It’s the gentle “welcome home” to a new way of being with God, one that is rooted in the real, tangible world around you.

If you are tired of the hustle, tired of the striving, and longing for a faith that feels like coming home, then this is for you.
