When Life Feels Like Too Much

There’s a moment that comes in spring when everything starts moving at once.

The garden wakes up.
Schedules fill in.
Expectations rise—quietly, but steadily.

And even when it’s all good… it can still feel like too much.

Maybe you’ve felt that lately—not because anything is wrong, but because everything is happening.

The Lie We Start to Believe

When life speeds up, we often shift into effort mode without even realizing it.

We try to:

  • Keep up

  • Stay ahead

  • Hold everything together

And slowly, without meaning to, we begin carrying things we were never meant to carry.

We start trying to be the rain.

The Garden Reminder We Need

In the garden, there’s a clear difference:

  • You can water

  • You can tend

  • You can plant

But you cannot make it rain.

And when the rain comes…
it doesn’t ask for your permission.
It doesn’t depend on your effort.

It just covers everything.

What Galatians 5:25 Really Means

“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”

This isn’t a call to do more.

It’s a call to move differently.

To walk instead of rush.
To follow instead of force.
To trust instead of strive.

There is already a pace being set.

And it’s not yours to control.

Where Are You Trying to Be the Rain?

Take a quiet moment and ask yourself:

Where am I trying to carry what only God can provide?

  • Holding everything together for your family

  • Managing outcomes that aren’t yours to control

  • Trying to force growth—spiritually, emotionally, or even physically

This is where exhaustion begins.

Not in what God asked you to do—
but in what you added afterward.

A Different Way to Live

What if today looked different?

What if instead of pushing harder…
you paused long enough to receive?

What if you trusted that God is already at work—
steady, present, and enough?

You don’t have to:

  • Rush ahead

  • Catch up

  • Prove anything

You can just… walk.

🌱 A Gentle Next Step

If this season has felt full—or a little too fast—you don’t have to reset on your own.

Rooted Reset begins this Monday.

It’s a quiet, guided space to help you:

  • Step out of overwhelm

  • Clear what’s crowding your soul

  • Return to a slower, Spirit-led rhythm

Simple.
Spacious.
And exactly what this season is inviting.

✏️ Reflection Question

Where are you trying to be the rain in your life right now?

What would it look like to let God cover that instead?

🌸 Closing

You were never meant to carry everything.

You were invited to walk.

And today…
that is enough.
